Pinball Hall of Fame
📍 Nevada, Las Vegas
A nonprofit warehouse holding the largest playable pinball collection on Earth — 700+ machines from the 1950s to the '90s, all on free play... er, coin-op, and all yours to play.
A museum you play
This is not a look-but-don’t-touch museum: every machine is plugged in and hungry for quarters. Owner Tim Arnold and the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club have amassed the largest known collection of pinball machines on the planet — more than 700 games — housed in a purpose-built 28,000-square-foot warehouse on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Ranks of machines span the 1950s through the 1990s, from wood-rail antiques to licensed ’90s blockbusters. Entry is free; you pay by playing, and the nonprofit donates its profits to charity.
Visiting
- On Las Vegas Blvd S, a few miles south of the Strip — a refreshingly un-casino way to burn an afternoon.
- Bring a roll of quarters (there are change machines, but still).
- Family-friendly, low-key, and gloriously loud.

Field report
A traveler called ghost popsicle sent me to the Pinball Hall of Fame, and I owe them an acorn debt: a nonprofit warehouse on the Vegas Strip's quiet end holding 700-plus playable machines from the 1950s to the '90s — the largest pinball collection on Earth, all of it waiting for your quarters, all proceeds to charity.
My paws hit the flippers perfectly. I need everyone to understand this. Decades of reflex training in the forest canopy, and it was all preparation for multiball. I ran a 1978 electromechanical machine until a small crowd formed, and when I finally drained, a man in a Metallica shirt said 'respect,' and that is going on my tombstone.
No slots, no drinks, no nonsense — just chimes, thumps, and concentration. The anti-Vegas hidden in Vegas. Bring quarters. Bring MANY quarters.
